This post is in response to a recent comment that I received on this blog. The question was…

“Why it is so hard to read Bible and Study when you don’t see microwave results. Why it seems there are no results in your life even though you know you’re doing what God expects of us.”

I think part of this question can be answered in Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

The results that we are seeking from God come through our faith. Everything we receive from God comes through our faith.  If everything we receive from God comes through faith, lets look at what faith is…

Faith is the evidence of things “not seen”. In other words, the results that we are looking for from God that come by our faith are invisible and they will never be seen while they are in the spirit.  That does not mean that they do not exist, it just means you can’t see them.  There are a lot of natural things that exist but cannot be seen, like air or microscopic organisms, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It just means that we cannot perceive them with our natural senses.  The things that you are trying to receive from the word of God are already in existence.  For example, salvation is already there for anyone who wants to receive it.  They can’t see it with their eyes but it is there.  When their faith receives salvation, it is invisible to their natural perception, but grabbed hold of by their faith. Then salvation starts to become visible in the person who received it by faith, because they start to produce the fruits of righteousness.  It works the same way with anything we receive from God.  If we read it in His word it is already in existence: Healing, Prosperity, Joy, Peace, Salvation… but it’s just invisible. That fact that you cannot see it, lets you know that it has to be received by faith.  If you could see it, there would be no need for faith. Faith is what you use to see the invisible things promised by God’s word. You have to mix faith with the word. Either one of them alone will profit you nothing.

Hebrews 4:2 …the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Once you start seeing the invisible results by your faith(although you can’t see them in the natural yet), you have to activate your faith. James 2:17 says “Faith without works is dead.” In order to activate you faith you must start working it.  You must start confessing what you are seeing by faith.  When you are doing the things that you know are right in God’s eyes even though you are not seeing the results, you are living by faith!  As you continue in faith, faith will become the conduit that brings the results from the place where they are invisible into the place where they are visible, and you will no longer need faith in that area.

The reason that so many people never receive the results that are seeking from God is because they waiver during the time they are living by faith.  They begin to doubt the things God has promised in his word, or they stop living according to their faith and they lose what was meant for them.

James 1:6…but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like the wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Let not that man think that he shall receive ought (anything) from the Lord

I know that sometimes this is hard to see accomplished in our lives, and we all are fighting this fight of our faith. But keep this in mind; Grab hold of the invisible promises outlined in God’s word, dwell and meditate on them until you can start to see them in your spirit (by faith), once you start to see them by faith act on them (confess them, live like there are already yours), don’t yield to the temptation to waver and doubt, and you will see the results that you are looking for become visible in your life, and then you won’t have to see them by faith anymore because you will be holding them in you hands!

Galatians 6:9… Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for we shall reap in due season, if we faint not…

I want to encourage you to keep living by faith.  The results that you are looking for are already in existence but you just can’t see them with you natural eyes. Don’t let the devil sow seeds of doubt into you life and you will see your faith turn those invisible promises into reality in your life…
